Auto Expo 2023: MG Motor Showcases MG 5 EV Station Wagon – 525Km Range & More
MG Motor started the first day of the Auto Expo 2023 with a bang by launching the 2023 MG Hector facelift and showcasing 7 other models including the MG 5 EV.
Also, One of the biggest highlights of the MG 5 EV is its design as this all-electric model from the Chinese-owned British automaker is the only station wagon at the pavilion.
It terms of design, the MG 5 EV bears a lot of similarities with the MG 4 EV thanks to design details such as angular air vents, and a sealed front grille that connects both the LED headlights. On top of that, the MG 5 EV also comes with a set of attractive-looking 17-inch alloy wheels, strong shoulder line, and a pair of wrap-around LED tail lights.
That being said, one of the major attractions of the MG 5 EV station wagon is its electric range. In fact, MG Motor claims a range of 525 kilometres on a fully charged battery pack. Apart from that, MG Motor is claiming that the MG 5 EV is capable of charging from 10 per cent capacity to 80 per cent capacity in just 35 minutes while using a 150kW DC fast charger.
Moreover, unlike the MG 4 EV, the MG 5 EV station wagon is a front-wheel-drive electric vehicle powered by a 156bhp electric motor with 256Nm of peak torque. Despite that, the electric station wagon accelerates from a standstill to 100km/h in just 7.7 seconds.
Being a vehicle from MG's stable, the MG 5 EV station wagon comes with all the bells and whistles you can think of in a car of this segment. Some of the highlight features of the electric station wagon include a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a large digital driver's display, ADAS, and much more.
