The MG Euniq 7 fuel cell electric vehicle is essentially a rebadged version of the Maxus Euniq 7 FCEV that was unveiled in China in 2020. Both Maxus and MG are owned by Chinese carmaker SAIC.
2023 Auto Expo: MG Euniq 7 Specs & Dimensions
The MG Euniq 7 uses the third generation of FCEV tech developed by SAIC. The Chinese firm that owns MG has been working on fuel cells since 2001 and the Euniq 7 features the latest iteration of this tech - Prome P390.
The Euniq 7 MPV features a hydrogen storage system made from aerospace-grade carbon fibre that stores the liquified gas at a pressure of 70Mpa and can be filled up in just 5 minutes.
The MG Euniq 7 stores the hydrogen in three tanks that can hold a total of 6.4 kilogrammes of the universe's lightest element. These 6.4 kilogrammes of Hydrogen give the Euniq 7 FCEV MPV an NEDC range of 605 kilometres.
The MG Euniq 7 sports a 92kW fuel cell stack that is paired with a permanent magnet electric motor that develops 201hp.
2023 Auto Expo: MG Euniq 7 Design & Features
