Maruti Suzuki showcased its vision of an EV future by revealing the all-new EVX concept at Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. The Maruti Suzuki EVX Concept will be the first pure EV vehicle from Suzuki anywhere in the world when it hits the streets in 2 years.
2023 Auto Expo: Maruti Suzuki EVX Concept Specs, Range & Dimensions
The Maruti Suzuki EVX is a battery electric SUV and the concept vehicle draws power from a lithium-ion battery pack and also features all-wheel drive. The EVX concept features a 60kWh battery pack that delivers a range of up to 550km.
The Maruti Suzuki EVX Concept is 4,300mm long, 1,800mm wide and 1,600mm tall.
2023 Auto Expo: Maruti Suzuki EVX Concept Design & Features
The Maruti Suzuki EVX is an all-electric concept SUV which features a very unique look that is definitely Suzuki.
At the front, the split headlamps sit above a closed off grille area which hosts the Suzuki badge. Lower down you can see small fog lamps and a large silver bash plate. The bumpers, sides and wheel arches feature heavy plastic cladding and the EVX concept rides on some rather snazzy wheels. At the rear, the Maruti Suzuki EVX SUV concept sports an integrated spoiler, full-length lightbar style taillights and a chunky bash plate.
Speaking about the all-new Maruti Suzuki EVX Concept, Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director and President, Suzuki Motor Corporation, said, "Today, I have an exciting announcement. I am delighted to unveil the Concept eVX, our first global strategic EV. We plan to bring it to market by 2025. At the Suzuki Group, addressing global warming is a priority. We are promoting a range of global measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated from our business. One key measure is reducing CO2 emitted by using our products. Here in India, as announced in March last year, we will invest 100 billion rupees in the production of BEVs and their batteries."
