The KA4 from Kia is in essence the next generation of the Carnival and is expected to replace the MPV on our roads in the near future.

Kia KA4 Specs & Dimensions
The Kia KA4 is offered with two engine options in international markets - a 2.2-litre turbo diesel and a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine produces 197bhp while the petrol is good for 292bhp.
The current Kia Carnival uses a 2.2-litre diesel powerplant and the KA4 is expected to continue with the same engine when it hits the streets. The engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Kia KA4 is 5,155mm long, 1,995mm wide and 1,775mm tall. The wheelbase of the Kia KA4 is 3,090mm long and the MPV weighs in at 2,140kg in its heaviest guise. The KA4 is 40mm longer, 10mm wider and 20mm taller than the Carnival currently on sale in India. The KA4's wheelbase is also 30mm longer than that of its predecessor.
Kia KA4 Design & Features
The Kia KA4 ditches the core curvy MPV looks of its predecessor for a more SUV-inspired look with an upright front end that sports a large grille doused in chrome that connects the sleek headlights. Also seen is a faux bash plate that further enhances the SU-inspired design.

The sides of the KA4 feature a character line that runs across the sides of the MPV connecting together the head and taillights. The A, B and D pillars are blacked out while the C-Pillar features a brushed aluminium finish. At the rear, the new KA4 Carnival features sleek LED taillights connected together by a lightbar-style element that also houses the Kia badge. The turn indicators are placed low down on the bumper along with the reversing lights.
The interiors of the Kia KA4 can be specced in 7, 9 and 11 seater guises thanks to the longer overall length and wheelbase of the new MPV. The Kia KA4 sports twin 12.3-inch displays on the dash for the infotainment and instrumentation and the next-gen version of the Carnival also gets advanced driver assistance systems on board to make driving a lot easier than before.
Thoughts About The Kia KA4
The Kia KA4 is what the next generation Carnival will be when the Korean carmaker finally deems to bring it into India. Expect the KA4 gen Carnival to command a slight premium over the current version of the MPV which currently starts at around Rs 31 lakhs (ex-showroom).
