Auto Expo 2023: Kia EV9 Concept Debuts In India

The Ka EV9 electric SUV concept showcased at Auto Expo 2023 previews the South Korean marque's flagship SUV that is expected to enter production soon.

Kia EV9 Concept Specs, Range & Dimensions

The Kia EV9 is quite a massive vehicle. The all-electric Kia EV9 measures 4,928mm long, 2,057mm wide and 1,778mm tall and features a 3,099mm long wheelbase.

The Kia EV9's battery pack hasn't officially been revealed but Kia claims that the electric SUV will deliver a range of 483 kilometres on a single charge. Helping the range of the EV9 are the solar panels built into the concept. The Kia EV9's battery pack supports fast charging up to 350kW DC which allows it to top up the battery pack from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes.

Kia EV9 Concept Design & Features

The Kia Concept EV9 features a rather boxy design. The front section features the Digital Tiger Face, a body-coloured panel with an intricate star cloud pattern display that acts as the position lamps when on the move. The Digital tiger Face is enclosed by daytime running lights and the headlights with the vertical DRLs also acting as the turn signals.

The Kia EV9 rides on 22-inch alloy wheels and the concept vehicle also sports suicide rear doors, an integrated rear spoiler, and y-shaped vertical taillights.

The interiors of the Kia EV9 are spacious and feature all the concept vehicle foibles including lounge-style seats. The ones at the front are capable of swivelling 180 degrees while the second row can fold down into a table. A 27-inch widescreen display handles both the instrumentation and the infotainment needs and the upholstery and materials used inside include vegan leather and recycled fishnet, wool and plastic bottles.
