South Korean carmaker Hyundai's flagship Ioniq 5 electric SUV was launched today at Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is offered with a 72.6kWh battery pack that delivers an ARAI-certified range of 621 kilometres.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Specs, Range & Dimensions

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 launched at Auto Expo 2023 is powered by a large 72.6kW battery pack that delivers a range of 621 kilometres as tested by ARAI.

The Ioniq 5 is based on Hyundai's 800V eGMP platform and the crossover's battery pack sits between the two axles. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 supports rapid fast charging and can recharge at speeds of up to 350kW. When connected to a DC charger that supports those speeds, the Ioniq 5's battery can recharge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes.

The battery pack of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 for India feeds a single electric motor connected to the rear axle that produces 214.5bhp and 350Nm of peak torque. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 7.4 seconds and the electric crossover has a top speed of 185km/h.

The Hyundai oniq 5 has a rather eyecatching design. The large crossover reminds you of a 1980's hatchback mixed with some brilliantly modern tech which comes in the form of parametric pixel-style headlights and taillights that draw attention to the boxy-looking crossover.

Inside, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is as minimal as they come with dual displays for the infotainment and instrumentation sitting atop the dashboard. The Ioniq 5 also gets a column-type gear shifter and a memory function for all the seats with the front seats getting both heating and ventilation.

Other features on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 include Vehicle 2 Load which allows you to use the EV as a massive power bank, heated ORVMs, hands-free powered tailgate, and a Bose Sound system.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes packed with safety tech including 6 airbags among many others along with 21 level 2 ADAS features as part of the Hyundai Smart Sense Suite.
