The TT's Last Hurrah: Audi Unveils Limited Edition Model
The German luxury automobile manufacturer, Audi, have announced that they are closing the chapter on the TT after 25 fruitful years and three successful generations in production. Having long been considered a beacon of Bauhaus design, the company is bidding farewell to the beloved model by unveiling a unique limited edition model; but there's a catch - it's only available on the Spanish market.
On the basis of the 45 TFSI model, the limited edition TT is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine churns out a commendable 241 horsepower. The power from the engine is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission enabling it to clock 60mph in 5.1 seconds from a standstill, before going on to max out at 155 mph. Despite its impressive performance, there is more to this edition of the sports car that makes it unique when compared to standard TTs.

Still sticking true to its sports car roots, each of the special edition models are kitted out with the S line competition plus package, along with tinted windows for that extra flair. It's poised on Audi’s striking 20-inch five-spoke star design wheels, behind which sit brightly painted red brake calipers, commanding attention. The car can be chosen in three exterior colors - Glacier White Metallic, Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect, and Tango Red Metallic. Unique to this edition is the addition of the Audi 'four rings' logo on the rear fenders, adding an exclusive touch.
The interior is just as exquisite, featuring the edition number on the door sills and the center console. The Audi S sports seats are elegantly finished in Alcantara and leather. These seats are placed with blue or red contrasting stitching depending on the body color. Embellishing the cabin further is the addition of carbon fiber inlays and a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel adding a touch of sportiness to the interior.

There's also an abundance of luxury features like the MMI navigation plus, Matrix LED headlights, Audi Connect, and a virtual cockpit with digital instrumentation. As an added bonus, when the doors are opened, the 'four rings' logo and the Audi gecko (symbolizing quattro all-wheel drive) are projected onto the ground, giving it a more bespoke feel.
In addition to the car, Audi is giving buyers an Audi Sport watch in a commemorative box and a carbon fiber key holder, adding to the overall exclusivity. With only 25 units produced, each costs a total of around $77,000 (Rs. 64.07 Lakhs).

DriveSpark Thinks
In light of the limited edition TT only being available in Spain, it becomes even more exclusive than the TT RS Iconic Edition which was limited to 100 examples. It is important to note, the TT series may be taking a hiatus but prospects of it being resurrected in the electric future are likely. Given how the TT was widely received, particularly in the UK, the potential of a battery-powered equivalent could be on the horizon.
At the end of the day, the limited-edition Audi TT model serves as a beautiful homage to the original TT. Despite a steep price tag, its exclusivity and rich features make it a collector's dream and signify the end of a significant era for Audi TT enthusiasts.
