Ashok Leyland's New Powerhouse Unveiled: The 1922 4X2 CNG Truck!
Ashok Leyland is the flagship division of the Hinduja Group and one of the top commercial vehicle manufacturers in India. The company has now unveiled its 1922 4X2 truck in the CNG category.
According to Ashok Leyland, this newly launched transport truck offers unmatched fluid efficiency, power and range (single fill) within its class. Furthermore, it also offers its clients four different loading span choices to select from.
Ashok Leyland also claims that the newly released 1922 CNG truck delivers superior tyre longevity, extended service periods and overall reduced upkeep costs along with exceptional fuel economy and distance coverage.
This decrease in turnaround time (TAT) according to Ashok Leyland is due to the enhanced features in the newly launched 1922 CNG truck, resulting in greater profitability for fleet managers.
Sanjeev Kumar, President-MHCV at Ashok Leyland commented on the launch saying "Ashok Leyland is known for launching top-tier products that address customer needs while reducing their total cost of ownership. In an effort to extend our product line in the CNG segment to bolster our portfolio and meet increasing customer demands, we have introduced the 1922 4X2 truck into the 18.5T category."
He further added that sectors like e-commerce, parcel loads and auto-parts are witnessing growing demand for CNG models which will help strengthen their portfolio further.
This vehicle provides a variety of cylinder options ranging from a loading span of 6.1 m (20ft) up to 9.75 m (32ft). The standout feature of this new model is it can cover over 1150 km on one fill-up alone making it ideal for long-distance haulage applications.
In terms of specifications, the newly launched Ashok Leyland truck houses an H-series CNG engine. This new CNG-compatible engine puts out 162 kW (220 hp) and 700Nm of peak torque. Despite being a powerful engine with plenty of torque, the engine is very fuel efficient.
As a result, the model can cover a distance of more than 1,150 kilometres on a full tank. Speaking about the range, as mentioned, Ashok Leyland is offering multiple cylinder size options. This includes 570 L, 750 L, 780 L, 840 L, 1080 L, and 1200 L.
Other than this, Ashok Leyland is offering multiple loading span options on the new CNG truck. This includes 6.1m (20 ft), 6.7m (22ft), 7.3m (24ft), and 9.75m (32ft). The model is also backed by a robust warranty plan offering coverage for up to 4 years or 4,00,000 kilometres.
