8 Features Present In Tata Safari That Are Absent In Mahindra XUV700
Tata Motors recently launched the facelifted version of the Tata Safari SUV in India, and this was one of the most-awaited car launches.
When Mahindra XUV700 was launched, it completely obliterated its competition with a long feature list and powerful powertrain options. Now, with the launch of the Tata Safari facelift, Tata Motors has levelled the playing field.

That being said, the newly launched Tata Safari facelift seems to have played its strength well and here is a list of 8 features that are present in the Safari but not in the Mahindra XUV700.
Ventilated Seats
The new Tata Safari facelift SUV comes with ventilated front seats. This is a very important feature to have in India and the Mahindra XUV700 does not have this feature. The 6-seater variant of the Tata Safari even offers ventilated seats for second-row passengers.

Second-Row Captain Seats
Tata Motors offers captain seats for second-row passengers. This is a great feature to have for chauffeur-driven customers and these seats are also great for covering long distances. On the other hand, Mahindra offers the XUV700 exclusively with bench seats on the second row.
Powered Tailgate
Both the Tata Safri and Tata Harrier now come equipped with powered tailgates. This is a very convenient feature to have in your new vehicle, especially in this segment. In comparison, the Mahindra XUV700 lacks this feature.
4-Way Power Adjustable Front Passenger Seat
While both Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700 come with a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, it is only the Tata Safari facelift SUV that comes equipped with a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat.
Bigger Infotainment Unit
The Mahindra XUV700 SUV comes equipped with a decent sized 10.25-inch infotainment unit. However, the infotainment unit in the new Tata Safari SUV is even bigger measuring 12.3 inches, diagonally.
Paddle Shifters
Though the Mahindra XUV700 also offers an automatic gearbox, only the new Tata Safari facelift SUV offers paddle shifters. Though this feature might not be a deal breaker for many, it is a good feature to have, especially when you pay this much money.
Auto Dimming IRVM
It is surprising to see that only the Tata Safari offers auto-dimming IRVM. This is a very useful feature to have in a car as it improves safety by preventing the driver from getting blinded by bright lights from cars behind.
Bigger Alloy Wheels
Finally, the higher-spec variants of the Tata Safari SUV come equipped with larger 19-inch alloy wheels. These larger alloy wheels significantly improve the looks and road presence - An important criterion for SUVs.
