2024 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Testing Continues – Here’s What We Expect
The Mahindra XUV300 is a sub-4m SUV based on the SsangYong Tivoli. This SUV was launched in February 2019 and took a few years to gather decent sales momentum in the Indian SUV segment.
That being said, the sub-4m SUV segment is in its most competitive and fierce form, as such, it is not easy for any manufacturer to keep up its sales momentum without any updates. In fact, Tata Motors recently updated the Nexon SUV despite consistently topping the sales chart.

Despite stiff competition, the Mahindra XUV300 has been competing in the sub-4m SUV segment for quite some time without any major update. As such, Mahindra has been developing the facelifted version of the XUV300 SUV for quite some time and here are our expectations about the model.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Exterior
Starting with the exterior, the outgoing iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV still sports normal halogen bulbs despite sporting a projector-type unit for the low beams. In comparison, most of its competitors now sport more advanced LED headlight setup.

As such, we expect the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift version to sport LED headlamps along with other changes such as an updated front bumper, grille, rear bumper, and alloy wheels. We also expect the taillamps to now sport 3D elements for premium looks.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Interior
The interior of Mahindra XUV300 is kind of a mixed bag as the model could comfortably seat 3 people in the back seat, and also came with airy-feeling light-coloured interiors. However, the dashboard layout of the XUV300 was already feeling little old-fashioned even at the time of its launch.
In light of that, we expect Mahindra to not make too many changes to the seating, but update the dashboard design to make the model look more modern. We also expect to see a larger infotainment unit and a digital instrument cluster in the upcoming model
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Features
The Mahindra XUV300 comes with a decent feature list and some of these features are still not offered by its competitors. However, it still misses out on a few attractive features that really attract a potential buyer.
As such, we expect Mahindra to equip the upcoming iteration of the XUV300 with features such as a 360-degree surround-view camera, larger infotainment unt, wireless charging, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, and much more.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Safety
The Mahindra XUV300 is already one of the safest SUVs in India with a 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP. As such, we expect the upcoming iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV to sport ADAS tech to further enhance the safety quotient.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Powertrain
Punchy powertrain options have always been the highlight of the Mahindra XUV300. As such, we expect Mahindra to retain the engine options as it is with minimal changes. However, we expect Mahindra to ditch the 6-speed AMT gearbox in favour of a 6-speed automatic transmission.
This is a great move considering AMT gearboxes negatively impact the driving experience. That being said, the model will continue to offer the 6-speed manual transmission as standard across all engine options.
Coming to the engine options, the base 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (TCMPFi) in the outgoing XUV300 is tuned to produce 108.6bhp and 200Nm of torque, whereas the more powerful 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine (TGDi) is tuned to produce 128.7bhp and 230Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine in the Mahindra XUV300 produces 115bhp and 300Nm of torque. The latter is a class-leading figure and creates a great first impression.

Thoughts About The 2024 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
The launch of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift SUV is expected to come with plenty of features and a more modern-looking interior. As a result, we expect a significant boost in the sales figures for the updated version of XUV300.
