2024 Kia Sonet SUV Unveiled – Bookings To Open On This Date, Check Out All Details Here
Ahead of the new year, Kia India has taken the wraps off the upcoming 2024 Kia Sonet SUV. However, Kia is yet to reveal the price of the new 2024 Sonet.
According to Kia India, the bookings for the 2024 Kia Sonet SUV will commence on 20 December. Furthermore, the booking amount for the 2024 Kia Sonet SUV will be capped at Rs 25,000.
That being said, the launch of the upcoming 2024 Kia Sonet SUV is expected to happen in January next year. With that, it is safe to expect a small price hike compared to the outgoing iteration of the Sonet SUV.
Keeping in mind that the 2024 Kia Sonet SUV is a facelifted model, Kia has not fiddled with the existing powertrain options. As such, the 2024 Sonet will come with three engine options as usual, which include two petrol engines and one diesel engine.
The base petrol engine is a 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated unit capable of producing 82bhp and 115Nm of torque. This engine option comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque.
This turbocharged petrol engine continues to come with two gearbox options - A 6-speed iMT unit and a 7-speed DCT unit. Finally, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine puts out 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine can be specified with either a 6-speed iMT unit or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Stand-out features of the 2024 Kia Sonet SUV include its ADAS tech with 10 autonomous features including Front Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA), Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), and a few more.
In addition to these, the facelifted Sonet also features 15 standard safety features including the likes of ESC, VSM, Hill-Start Assist, 6 airbags, ABS, Brake-force Assist System (BAS), tyre pressure monitoring system, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock and more.
Furthermore, the upcoming Kia Sonet Facelift SUV also comes with features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, an equally large fully digital instrument cluster, rear door sunshade, smart air purifier, 7-speaker BOSE audio system, surround-view camera system, 4-way powered driver's seat, connected car tech and a lot more.
That being said, the 2024 Kia Sonet SUV also comes with a completely new front and rear section, which makes the model look a bit more mature yet sporty at the same time. However, the side profile remains largely unchanged, with the exception of new alloy wheels.
