2024 Kia Sonet Facelift SUV To Be Launched Very Soon In India – Everything We Know So Far
The Kia Sonet is one of the best-selling sub-4m SUVs in the country. Now, with the launch of new models in the segment, the South Korean automaker is looking forward to the launch of the facelifted version of the Sonet SUV in India.
According to sources, the upcoming Kia Sonet facelift is expected to make its official debut in the coming months, and we expect the deliveries of this model to commence in 2024.
Starting with the design, we expect the upcoming 2024 Kia Sonet facelift SUV to come with significant design changes including a redesigned front grille section, a pair of new headlights, new LED DRLs, reprofiled front and rear bumpers, redesigned fog lamp enclosures, and redesigned LED taillamps.
On the inside, we expect the upcoming Kia Sonet facelift SUV to feature a restyled dashboard, new materials, a larger touchscreen infotainment unit, and a more modern fully digital instrument cluster.
In addition to these changes, we expect the upcoming Kia Sonet facelift SUV to come with more features across all variants. Additionally, we expect the Sonet facelift SUV to come with plenty of standard safety features including ADAS tech on the top-spec models.
That being said, we do not expect to see any changes to the powertrain options. The base 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine puts out 81.8bhp, 115Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
On the other hand, the second petrol powertrain option is a more powerful 1.0-litre, turbocharged unit with 118.4bhp and 172Nm of torque. Moreover, customers can choose either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox with this powertrain.
Finally, the diesel model sports a 1.5-litre, turbocharged engine with 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. This engine can be specified with either a 6-speed iMT unit or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
