2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Launch Tomorrow – All You Need To Know
The upcoming 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is among the most-awaited car launches of this year. Now, the wait is almost over as Kia India is all geared up to launch the facelifted version of the 2023 Kia Seltos SUV tomorrow.
That being said, the outgoing version of the Kia Seltos is one of the best-selling SUVs in its segment. As such, Kia India has high hopes for the upcoming facelifted version of the Kia Seltos SUV.
In a bid to attract more potential buyers, Kia India also released a few teasers of the upcoming SUV. These teaser videos not only revealed the exterior and interior of the upcoming model but also gave viewers an idea regarding some of the features as well
Speaking about the features, the outgoing version of the Kia Seltos SUV is known to have a long equipment list. As such, we expect the upcoming facelifted model to come packed with even more features.
Going by the teaser videos, the Kia Seltos facelift will come with a twin-screen setup. In this layout, the screen in front of the driver acts as a digital instrument cluster, whereas the other screen acts as a touchscreen infotainment unit.
It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming facelifted version of the Kia Seltos SUV will also come equipped with advanced Level-2 ADAS tech. This technology usually includes features such as adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and more.
In terms of powertrain, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is likely to come with three engine options - A naturally-aspirated petrol engine, a turbocharged petrol engine, and a turbocharged diesel engine.
The base engine will continue to be the 1.5-litre naturally-spirated petrol engine with 113bhp and 144Nm of peak torque. Furthermore, this engine can be mated to either a 6-speed iMT gearbox or a CVT unit.
The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel powertrain will also continue to make its presence felt in the facelifted model. Moreover, we expect this powertrain to produce 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. Gearbox options are likely to include a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic unit.
Finally, we expect the facelifted version of the Kia Seltos SUV to feature a new 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine with 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. This powertrain is likely to be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
In terms of design, the facelifted version of the Kia Seltos SUV follows an evolutionary design theme and we expect this model to be priced at a slight premium over the outgoing model. However, we do not expect this price hike to affect the sales of the upcoming SUV.
