2023 Hyundai Verna Teaser Video Out – New Benchmark For Luxury & Space?
Hyundai Motor India has released the teaser video of the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Verna and in a surprising turn of events, the 20-second teaser video highlights the rear legroom space of the sedan.
Diving into details, the teaser video highlights the full-width LED lightbar at the front and rear along with the LED headlights. However, what's surprising is that the South Korean automaker has highlighted the rear legroom of the upcoming Verna sedan.
This is because all the previous iterations of the Hyundai Verna sedan have not given much priority to its rear seat passengers. In fact, the Hyundai Verna has been known to come packed with features and punchy powertrains that will attract younger buyers.
With the latest teaser, we are confident that the 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan will come with a very spacious rear seat. However, it is yet to be seen how it compares against the likes of other sedans such as the Honda City, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Virtus.
That being said, Hyundai had earlier confirmed that the company is planning to launch the 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan on 21st March. Moreover, the South Korean automaker has already opened bookings for the model and the booking amount is capped at Rs 25,000.
In terms of design, the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan flaunts the South Korean automaker's Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy and it comes with a split headlamp design, full-width LED DRLs, LED light bar at the rear, wider front grille and more.
According to Hyundai, the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Verna will be offered in 4 trim levels - EX, S, SX, and SX(O). In addition to this, Hyundai will offer the 2023 Verna sedan in 7 single-tone and 2 dual-tone exterior shades.
In terms of powertrain, the 2023 Hyundai Verna will come with two petrol engines. The base powertrain will be the familiar 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine and interested customers can choose between 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox.
The second engine option is a more powerful, turbocharged petrol engine. Furthermore, this engine is expected to produce approximately 160bhp of power and it is expected to come equipped with a 7-speed DCT gearbox as standard. This powertrain will make the Verna the most powerful sedan in its segment.
The upcoming 2023 Verna is said to come equipped with ADAS. Though this active safety feature is likely to be part of the top-spec trim levels, the existence of this feature in the lineup is expected to attract more customers and this will have a positive effect on overall sales.
