2023 Hyundai Verna Garners More Than 8,000 Bookings – Aims To Overtake Honda City In Sales
Hyundai Motor India recently revealed that the all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna has garnered more than 8,000 bookings in India. In addition to that, the company aims for '2X' sales for its latest sedan in the country.
Also, in terms of pricing, the all-new Hyundai Verna undercuts its primary rivals such as the Honda City facelift, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia with an aggressive starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
In addition to that, the all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan comes loaded with features including a few first-in-segment features such as powered driver seats, and heated and ventilated front seats.
Other noteworthy features on the new sedan include a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, rear AC vents, a digital instrument cluster, smart boot, an electric sunroof, auto climate control, steering-mounted control, a cooled glove box, tilt-and-telescopic steering and much more.
Hyundai has also upped its game in regards to safety as the 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan comes equipped with more than 65 safety features, of which 30 of those are part of the standard equipment.
Some of these note-worthy safety systems on the 2023 Hyundai Verna sedan include 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX mounting points, automatic headlamps, burglar alarm, impact-sensing auto door unlock, speed-sensing auto door lock, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and Level-2 ADAS.
Speaking of ADAS, The Level 2 ADAS in the new Verna comes with active safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, High-Beam Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance assist, Lead Vehicle Departure Alert, Driver Attention Warning and much more.
In terms of powertrain, the 2023 Hyundai Verna comes with two engine options. The base 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 114bhp of power and 144Nm of torque. On the other hand, the turbocharged, 1.5-litre engine puts out 157.8bhp and 253Nm of torque.
