Powertrain: The Hyundai Verna 1.5 Turbo is currently the most powerful sedan in its segment with its 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine capable of generating 157.8bhp of power and 253Nm of torque. Furthermore, this engine can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Price: Prices for the Hyundai Verna 1.5 Turbo starts from Rs 14.83 lakh (ex-showroom, India) However, prices jump to Rs 16.08 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and Rs 17.32 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the variants equipped with the 7-speed DCT gearbox.
In comparison, the Volkswagen Virtus 1.5 TSI is only offered in the top-spec GT Plus trim and is priced at Rs 18.42 lakh (ex-showroom, India) - This makes the German sedan Rs 1.10 lakh more expensive than the most expensive variant of the Hyundai Verna 1.5 Turbo.
