This Smartsense technology consists of numerous ADAS tech including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Lane Following Assist (LFA), High Beam Assist (HBA), and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA).
Coming to the powertrains, the new powertrain consists of a 1.0-litre, turbo petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. (Earlier, this engine was exclusively mated to a DCT gearbox).

That being said, Hyundai continues to offer three engine options in the Hyundai Venue SUV range. This includes the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and the torquey 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.
Also, transmission options now include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, and DCT. Out of these, the 7-speed DCT gearbox is exclusive to the turbo petrol engine, whereas the 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmissions are exclusively mated to the naturally-aspirated petrol and turbo diesel engines, respectively.
Thoughts: The Hyundai Venue is already a very well-kitted SUV in its segment with a long feature list. The added ADAS tech and the introduction of a manual transmission to the turbo petrol engine will attract both tech-savvy buyers and enthusiasts as well.
