2023 Hyundai Venue Launched At Rs 7.68 Lakh – More Power & Features
Hyundai has launched the updated MY23 iteration of the Venue SUV in India and the prices for the updated model starts from Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Before going into details, it is worth mentioning that the updated MY23 iteration of the Hyundai Venue SUV now features a few updates including an updated equipment list and a more powerful diesel engine.
Speaking about the powertrain, the diesel variants of the updated MY23 iteration of the Venue SUV now matches the power and torque output of the Hyundai Creta SUV. This means the diesel variant of the Hyundai Venue SUV now produces 113.5bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque.
In comparison, the earlier versions of the diesel-powered Hyundai Venue SUVs produced just 98.5bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. As such, the latest iteration of the Venue SUV produces almost 15bhp more power and 10Nm more torque. Moreover, we expect these improved power figures to make the Venue a lot more interesting to drive as well.
That being said, unlike the Hyundai Creta diesel which is available with both 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options, the diesel variant of the Hyundai Venue SUV will exclusively come with a 6-speed manual transmission. It is also worth mentioning that the petrol powertrain options continue to be offered in the MY23 Venue SUV without any changes compared to previous models.
In terms of the updated equipment list, Hyundai is now offering 6 airbags from the mid-spec S(O) trim level - A safety feature that was previously available only in the top-spec SX(O) trim level. However, some features such as rear seat reclination, and armrest with cup holder have been removed from the SX variant and these features are now exclusive to the top-sped SX(O) variants.

Hyundai has hiked the prices of the Venue SUV up to Rs 25,000 with the launch of the updated MY23 models. However, a few trim levels continue to be offered at the same price as the previous models. That being said, using the same tune for both Venue and Creta is most likely to reduce the overall development costs of making the powertrain meet the latest RDE emission norms.
