Lamborghini Reveals More Details About The 1,001bhp LB744 Aventador Successor

Italian supercar marque Lamborghini has revealed more details about the upcoming 1,001bhp Aventador successor codenamed LB7444.

Italian supercar marque Lamborghini has revealed more details about the upcoming 1,001bhp Aventador successor codenamed LB7444. The new V12 supercar from Lamborghini is said to be just a few weeks from its big reveal.

However, before that big day arrives, Lamborghini has continued to tantalize the public with details about the successor to the Aventador. Last week, the Italian marque had revealed that the new supercar, codenamed LB744, would be its first plug-in hybrid series production model.

Now in its second teaser about its upcoming V12 flagship, Lamborghini has revealed that the LB744 features an aeronautics-inspired monocoque concept made entirely of carbon fibre dubbed the 'monofuselage'.

Alongside the new carbon fibre monocoque the upcoming LB744 sports the lightweight material in its front structure. Lamborghini claims the LB744 is the first supercar to be 'fitted with a 100% carbon fiber front structure.'

Lamborghini claims that the LB744's monofuselage is 10 per cent lighter than the Aventador chassis while the new carbon fibre front frame is 20 per cent lighter than its predecessor's which was made from aluminium.

The usage of carbon fibre for the monofuselage of the LB744 means that the upcoming supercar offers 25 per cent stiffer torsional rigidity compared to the Aventador. The usage of carbon fibre for the front cones also means that the new LB744's front end offers double the energy absorption capabilities of the Aventador Ultimae.

Previously, the supercar marque from Sant'Agata Bolognese based had revealed details about the LB744's V12 hybrid powertrain. The upcoming Lamborghini LB744 uses a new 6.5-litre V12 engine and 3 electric motors.

The new 6.5-litre engine is the most powerful V12 produced by Lamborghini and revs all the way up to 9,500rpm. The LB744's V12 engine produces 814bhp and 725Nm of peak torque.

The V12 is helped along by three electric motors - two on the front axle and one on the rear that raise the power output to a ridiculous 1,001bhp.

For packaging purposes, Lamborghini has rotated the V12 engine by 180 degrees so that the new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox sits behind the high-revving powerplant. Owners will be able to drop multiple gears in one go with the new gearbox by holding down the left paddle shifter.

Thoughts About The Lamborghini LB744

The Lamborghini LB744 will be the first series production hybrid supercar from the Italian marque. With so much power and usage of carbon fibre, we hope the LB744 has a design that matches the madness of its powertrain and chassis.
