Upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross Teased Ahead Of Its Global Debut – Checkout All The Details
The upcoming Innova Hycross has been teased for the first time. However, it is the Japanese automaker's Indonesia wing that released the teaser image of the upcoming MUV. Moreover, the teaser image clearly reveals the front section of the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross.

Looking at the teaser image, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross seems to sport a more evolved front fascia with styling cues from international models such as Toyota Corolla Cross. This gives the MUV a very rugged appeal compared to the outgoing Innova Crysta.

Diving into the details of the teaser image, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross gets wide headlamps with L-shaped inserts placed in such a way that it covers the lower half of the main beams. Moreover, the headlamps also get slightly pinched midway through to accentuate the width of the MUV.

Other than this, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross also gets an upright gloss black hexagonal grille with thick surrounds of the same colour. In addition to this, we can also see that the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross also gets strong creases on the bonnet and the MUV also seem to sport fog lamps placed inside triangular housings.

Thanks to the more aggressive styling, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross MUV looks more like a crossover. In addition to that, many spy shots of the Toyota Innova Hycross test mules also reveal that the model will get horizontally placed LED tail lamps and 10-spoke alloy wheels. Moreover, these spied images also reveal that the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross is slightly larger than the outgoing Toyota Innova Crysta.

However, one of the note-worthy highlights of the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross is that the upcoming MUV will not feature a diesel powertrain. Instead, the Toyota Innova Hycross will come with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, Atkinson cycle petrol engine and an electric motor driving the front wheels alone.

In addition to this, the Japanese automaker has also ditched the rugged ladder frame for a more sophisticated monocoque platform (TNGC-A) to underpin the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross MUV. Thanks to such a setup, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross MUV is likely to come with a flat floor and plenty of interior space even for its passengers and their luggage. Moreover, the handling and ride quality of the model is also likely to improve by a decent margin with less rolling and pitching movements.

In addition to this, the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross is likely to be packed with features such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a larger infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 360-degree surround view camera, electrically adjustable front-row seats, multiple drive modes, ambient lighting, and much more.

We expect Toyota to unveil the Innova Hycross somewhere around January in India with deliveries likely to commence around March 2023. Moreover, a rebadged iteration of the Toyota Innova Hycross is likely to be sold through Maruti Suzuki's Nexa line of dealerships across the country.

Thoughts About The Upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross
With the launch of the Toyota Innova Hycross in India, the Japanese automaker will further strengthen its hybrid model lineup in the country. Moreover, given the demand for the "Innova" nameplate in India, we expect the model to significantly popularise the hybrid powertrain setup in the country.
