However, YoY sales for the sub-4m SUV fell by almost 3 per cent as the company managed to sell 3,162 units in March 2021, but MoM sales improved by 29 per cent for the SUV.

Glanza (2,987 units)
Like the Toyota Urban Cruiser SUV, the Toyota Glanza is a rebadged Maruti Suzuki. Thanks to the recent update, Toyota managed to sell 2,987 units of Glanza hatchback in March 2022, which is just 2 units less than what the company has managed to sell in March 2021.
Fortuner (2,984 units)
The Toyota Fortuner is the best selling premium large SUV in India. In March 2022 alone, Toyota managed to sell 2,984 units of Toyota Fortuner in India. Thanks to this strong performance, YoY sales have improved by almost 40 per cent.
On the other hand, the MoM sales performance of the SUV improved by more than 61 per cent as the company managed to sell just 1,848 units in February 2022.
Camry (120 units)
Despite the rising fuel prices and the recent update to the model, Toyota could only manage to sell 120 units of Camry sedan in India. However, YoY sales for the hybrid sedan have improved by more than 287 per cent.
On the other hand, MoM sales for the hybrid sedan has declined as the Japanese automaker managed to sell 161 units in February 2022.
Hilux (43 units)
Though Toyota Hilux is a long-awaited model in India, Toyota could manage to sell just 43 units of this pickup SUV in India in March 2022. However, we expect the demand for this model to increase in the coming months.
Thoughts About Toyota's Sales Performance In India
The Toyota Innova Crysta continues to be the backbone for Toyota in India. In addition to that, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Toyota Glanza continue to support the Japanese automaker to achieve more than decent sales figures.
