Toyota May Launch The 2022 Glanza Before April: Most Likely To Be Available In 2 Trims
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of new Baleno in the Indian automotive market and the Indo-Japanese brand has already commenced the production of its yet to be launched premium hatchback at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gujarat.

Since, the Toyota Glanza is a rebadged version of the outgoing model of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, it is safe to expect that the Japanese manufacturer will also launch the new Glanza based on the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

However, since the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is yet to be introduced in India, expect the Toyota Glanza to be launched soon after the launch of the updated version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. However, unlike the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Toyota Glanza will be available in just 2 trim levels.

Though Toyota has a very strong sales and service network in India, the brand has been experiencing some decline in sales in the recent years. Even though this can be simply pointed out at the pandemic related difficulties, it is clear that the Japanese brand is starting to lose some of its sales to newer cars in the market.

Speaking about the new Glanza, we expect the premium hatchback to be identical to the upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. This means the new Toyota Glanza will feature redesigned front and backend with updated front grille, LED headlamps, front bumper, fog lamps, rear bumper, new L-shaped taillamps and many more.

Moving inside, the updated Toyota Glanza will also feature the new reprofiled dashboard which houses the new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Glanza is also likely to come equipped with other features such as heads-up display, revised instrument console, wireless charging pad, connected-car tech, flat-bottom steering wheel, and many more..

If the new Baleno features strengthened underpinnings and better grade steel for better safety rating, the updated Toyota Glanza will also feature same changes.
However, there is no information regarding whether there will be any updates in the powertrain of the upcoming updated Toyota Glanza.

At present, the Toyota Glanza is available with two choices of engines, in which one of them is partially electrified. The first choice is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit with 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. The next version is also a mild-hybrid naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine with ISG and hence produces slightly more power at 89bhp.

Thoughts About Toyota Selling Glanza
Even though the outgoing Toyota Glanza is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, it will be great if Toyota adds some changes to the upcoming Glanza to visually differentiate the model from the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
