Toyota Likely To Launch CNG Variant Of 2022 Glanza: Launch Soon
Toyota may soon launch the CNG variant of the 2022 Glanza in India and thanks to the lower fuel price and better mileage, the Glanza CNG will also be more pocket-friendly and better suited to those who clock a lot of kilometres in their cars.

Toyota has already launched the 2022 Glanza and the prices for the premium hatchback ranges from Rs 6.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India) to Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Also, the booking amount for the new 2022 Glanza is set at Rs 11,000.

Speaking about the engine, the 2022 Toyota Glanza comes with just one engine option and this engine is a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system with DualJet technology.

This is the same engine that powers the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno and this engine produces 89bhp of peak power and 113Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

However, expect this engine to produce around 76bhp and 98Nm of torque using CNG fuel. Also, the 5-speed manual gearbox will be the sole gearbox option on the CNG variant.

In terms of design, we do not expect the CNG variant of the Glanza to sport a different design, except for a few 'e-CNG' badges on the bootlid and the front fender.

Apart from that, as we know the new 2022 Glanza is a rebadged version of the new updated 2022 Baleno, the production of both the premium hatchbacks takes place at the Maruti Suzuki's manufacturing facility in Gujarat.

Like the new updated 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the 2022 Toyota Glanza is also available in 4 trim levels. However, the AMT variant is available on the top three trims only.

Speaking about the new Glanza, it sports a different front grille to the new updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno - This helps in differentiating both the premium hatchbacks and gives the 2022 Glanza a unique identity.

On the inside, the new 2022 Toyota Glanza features an all-new dashboard that is identical to the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno and sports a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with AC vents placed below it.

The infotainment system is an all-new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the updated model comes with new features such as a new flat-bottom steering wheel, a revised instrument console, wireless charging pad, connected-car tech, heads-up display, and many more.

In terms of safety, the updated Glanza mimics the safety features of the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno and features a similar set of safety systems such as 6 airbags, Hill-Hold Assist, ABS, ESP, EBD, reverse parking sensors, a 360-degree surround-view camera, ISOFIX anchoring points and a few more.

Thoughts About Toyota Glanza CNG
Toyota has been experiencing some decline in sales in recent years and the introduction of a CNG model in its product lineup is most likely to boost its overall sales by a considerable margin.
