It is also worth mentioning that the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 that was spotted was not having any number plates. This means, the SUV is not a test mule nor a demo vehicle and the model is more likely to be imported by an individual.

This upcoming SUV was spotted in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu - A city that is not only famous for its hospitality but also its rich racing heritage. The city is also home to India's first Formula 1 racing driver, Mr Narain Karthikeyan.
Earlier, Toyota had opened bookings for the Land Cruiser LC300 SUV in India, however, it was soon closed due to high demand for the SUV. As per reports, the first batch of the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 has already been sold out.

Speaking about the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, the model is in its sixth generation and it is roughly the same size as the model it replaces with an identical wheelbase of 2,850mm. However, the Land Cruiser LC300 is 10mm wider and 5mm shorter than the Land Cruiser LC200.

Though the new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is slightly larger than its predecessor, the latest model packs in a lot more electronics and safety aids - Thanks to its new GA-F platform.
Moreover, by using this new platform, Toyota has managed to decrease the kerb weight and improve the weight distribution of the Land Cruiser LC300 compared to its predecessor.

In terms of powertrain options, the Japanese automobile giant has ditched the previous powertrains options and in its place now comes two new V6 engine options.
The 3.5-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol engine makes 409.32bhp of peak power and 650Nm of peak torque, whereas the 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine puts out 305bhp of peak power and 700Nm of peak torque. Moreover, both the engine options come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.
