Apart from that, the MG ZS EV comes equipped with a 50.3kWh battery pack with an ARAI rated range of 461km. Charging time for the MG ZS is rated at less than 9 hours using a 7.4kW AC charger. On the other hand, it takes just 60minutes to charge from 0-80 per cent using a 50kW DC fast charger.

Hyundai Kona

Like the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona is the South Korean automaker's first electric vehicle in India. Like other Hyundai vehicles, the Hyundai Kona also comes equipped with a long list of features.

The Hyundai Kona also comes powered by a single Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with 136bhp of power and 395Nm of torque. In addition to that, the battery pack on the Hyundai Kona is rated at 39.3kWh.

The ARAI certified range of Hyundai Kona is rated at 452km and the electric SUV takes just 57minutes to charge using a 50kW DC charger. However, charging time goes up to 6 hours using a standard AC charger.

Tata Nexon EV Max

Tata Motors already has a dominating market share in the personal EV segment in India and the newly launched Tata Nexon EV Max is the 'long-range' version of the Tata Nexon EV to further increase the market share.

Powering the newly launched Tata Nexon EV Max is a 143bhp electric motor with 250Nm of torque, and the new battery pack is rated at 40.5kWh. Thanks to this larger battery pack, the Tata Nexon EV Max has an ARAI-certified range of 437kms.

Charging time for the Tata Nexon EV Max is rated at 6.5 hours using a 7.2kWh AC charger, but this time can be reduced to just 56minutes using a 50kW DC charger.

Volvo XC40 Recharge

The Volvo XC40 Recharge is a premium electric SUV brought to India as a completely built unit. Though the SUV is based on the standard Volvo XC40 SUV, there are a few elements to visually differentiate the EV model.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge is powered by a pair of electric motors producing a total of 402bhp of peak power and 660Nm of peak torque. Apart from that, the Volvo XC40 Recharge comes with a large 78kWh battery back.

This powertrain setup enables the Volvo XC40 Recharge to reach 100km/h in just 4.9 seconds and cover up to 419kms on a full charge.

Mercedes-Benz EQC
