Mahindra Scorpio N
The Mahindra Scorpio N was one of the most-awaited car launches of the year 2022 and Mahindra didn't disappoint either. The SUV not only boasts solid powertrain options, but it also comes packed with a lot of features and a 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP.
As a result, the demand for the Scorpio N SUV is off the charts and the waiting period for some variants of the SUV extends more than 16 months. At present, the new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV is priced from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and goes all the way up to Rs 21.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India). On top of that, the new SUV is available in Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L trim levels.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
With the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the company not only introduced a Strong-Hybrid powertrain option in the highly competitive compact SUV segment, but it also allowed the Indo-Japanese automaker to directly compete with the Hyundai Creta SUV. Moreover, the demand for the SUV has been steadily increasing since its launch in the country.
On top of that, it is also worth mentioning that the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is also the first SUV in its segment to come with an all-wheel-drive option. In terms of pricing, the base 'Sigma' variant of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV is priced at Rs 10.45 lakh (ex-showroom, India), whereas the top-spec 'Alpha Plus' variant with the Strong-Hybrid powertrain is priced at Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Mahindra XUV300
Mahindra has finally launched the much-awaited Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport SUV in India. Though not much has changed on the outside, the Pune-based SUV manufacturer has made some significant changes under the bonnet. This makes the XUV300 TurboSport, the most powerful SUV in its segment.
Though the Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport SUV comes with the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, direct-injection, turbocharged engine as the standard model, the power and torque figures now stand at 128.2bhp and 230Nm, which is an increase of 18.2bhp of power and 30Nm of torque. In addition to that, the SUV also has a very Porsche-like over-boost function that allows an additional 20Nm of peak torque for a brief moment.
Kia EV6
The Kia EV6 garnered a lot of interest among its prospective buyers in India and the electric vehicle was very soon sold out. Not only did the Kia EV6 pack enough range to attract conservative customers in India, but it also packed a punch to rival some very fast sports cars that cost three times as much.
Moreover, the Kia EV6 is the automaker's first and only electric vehicle in India, and the model is brought to India as a CBU unit. At the time of launch, the Kia EV6 is priced at Rs 59.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India). In terms of performance figures, the Kia EV6 GT Line AWD can reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds and attain a top speed of 260km/h.
Tata Tiago EV
The Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback immediately gained a lot of traction in the country by managing to bag 10,000 bookings in just one day, setting a new booking record for EVs in the process. To celebrate the achievement, Tata Motors even decided to retain the introductory prices for all the first 10,000 customers of the Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback.
That being said, the Tata Tiago EV at the time of launch was priced Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and the booking amount is capped at Rs 21,000. Moreover, the Tata Tiago EV is available with two powertrain options - OIne with a 19.2kWh battery pack and 60bhp electric motor, whereas the higher variants are powered by a 74bhp electric motor and a larger 24kWh battery pack.
