Top 10 Best Selling Cars In India: March 2022
The list of top 10 best selling cars for the month of March 2022 is out now and Maruti Suzuki yet again dominates the list with seven models. Hyundai and Tata Motors join the list with two models representing each brand.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR (24,634 units)
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR once again takes the top step of the podium by selling 24,634 units in March 2022. In comparison, the Indo-Japanese company could only sell 18,757 units of WagonR hatchback in March 2021.
This means the boxy hatchback has registered a very positive and confidence-inspiring YoY sales growth of almost 31 per cent.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire (18,623 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has always been a consistent performer for the company and the sub-4m sedan more than fulfilled its duty by giving the company 18,623 new customers. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire also registered a positive YoY sales growth of 63 per cent as the company could only sell 11,434 units in March 2021.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno (14,520 units)
Though Maruti Suzuki recently updated the Baleno, the company could only manage to sell 14,520 units in March 2022. This has resulted in a negative YoY sales growth of almost 32 per cent as the company managed to sell 21,217 units last year during the same time.

Tata Nexon (14,315 units)
The Tata Nexon has been slowly and consistently climbing the sales ladder and has become the 4th best-selling model in March 2022 and the best-selling model in its segment by registering 14,315 units sale in March 2022.
This means the sub-4m SUV has registered a positive YoY sales of 65 per cent as the company only sold 8,683 units in March 2021. Apart from that, it is also one of the safest vehicles in India with 5-Star safety rating from Global-NCAP.

Maruti Suzuki Swift (13,623 units)
Like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the Maruti Suzuki Swift has always been a consistent seller for the Indo-Japanese brand. However, this time the company managed to sell just 13,623 units in March 2022, resulting in a YoY sales decline of almost 37 per cent.
In comparison, during March 2021, the company managed to sell 21,714 units -making it the best-selling car at that time.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza (12,439 units)
Though Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza once dominated its segment, sales have come down as the company stopped the production of the diesel powertrain. However, despite the lack of a diesel powertrain, Maruti Suzuki has managed to sell 12,439 units in March 2022. Apart from that, the sub-4m petrol SUV has registered a 10 per cent YoY sales growth.

Hyundai Creta (10,532 units)
Hyundai Creta has always been one of the best sellers in its segment. This month also continues to be the same as Hyundai manages to sell 10,532 units in March 2022. However, in comparison, YoY sales have taken a 17 per cent hit.

Tata Punch (10,526 units)
Despite being a new launch, the Tata Punch quickly gained traction in the highly competitive sub-4m SUV segment in India. In March 2022 alone, Tata Motors has sold 10,526 units of Tata Punch SUV in India.

Hyundai i10 Grand (9,687 units)
The Hyundai Grand i10 takes the 9th spot in this list by selling 9,687 units in March 2022. Though this is a very decent number, the YoY sales have declined by almost 12 per cent as the South Korean automaker managed to sell 11,020 units in March 2021.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco (9,221 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a versatile vehicle and has become a favourite for many families in India. In March 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 9,221 units of Eeco in India and made it into the top 10 list. However, the YoY sales performance for the model is down by 20 per cent as the Indo-Japanese automaker sold 11,547 units in March 2021.

Thoughts About Top 10 Best-Selling Cars In March 2022
It looks like there is no stopping Maruti Suzuki as it yet again dominates the Indian automobile segment. Moreover, Tata Motors has started to feature its models in the top 10 list for quite some time now and it is just a matter of time before it snatches the second spot from Hyundai.
