In the video, the owner of the Tata Tigor EV mentions that he was heading home after a family trip in his Tata Tigor EV, and on his way back home he decided to stop at a restaurant to buy food. While doing so, he decided to use the utilise fast charger in front of the restaurant to make maximum use of the time waiting for the food.

However, while everything was going fine, disaster stuck for the Tata Tigor EV owner as he tried to remove the charger plugged into his EV. It was stuck. While a few other good-willed people also tried to remove the charger from the EV, the efforts were in vain as the charger was firmly stuck to the vehicle.

While this is an issue reported by many EV owners in the past. There is a quick and easy solution as well. Since automakers know such issues can occur, most EVs have a manual override switch to free the charger.

In Tata Tigor EV, this switch is placed on the inside of the wheel wall area - A difficult place to access. Though it is a safety feature to place the manual override button at such difficult places to avoid miscreants from accessing the switch, Tata Motors had left the switch exposed to all the mud and dust.

As such, the Tata Tigor EV owner had to clean the wheel wall area to access the manual override switch. To his horror, despite freeing the switch from all mud and dust, the manual override switch was still stuck. However, after a few hours of trying, the owner was able to use the manual override switch and free the charger gun from the charging port of the car.

Speaking about Tata Tigor EV, the model is powered by an advanced 350V Ziptron EV system and uses a 26kWh battery pack. Moreover, the Tata Tigor EV uses a 74bhp electric motor with 170Nm of torque for propulsion.

In terms of charging, the Tata Tigor EV takes 65 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 per cent charge using a 25kW fast charger, whereas the same feat in a regular 15A plug point takes 8 hours and 45 minutes.

At present, prices for the Tata Tigor EV range start from Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base XE trim and goes all the way up to Rs 13.64 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the top-end XZ+ DT trim level.

The Tata Tigor EV is a very good electric sedan given its price tag. Moreover, the electric sedan offers a decent range and performance as well.
