Tata Tiago Hits 4 Lakh Unit Milestone: Milestone Unit Produced At Sanand Plant
Tata Motors has announced that it has produced 4 lakh units of Tata Tiago hatchback in India since its introduction six years ago.

Tata Motors claims that the milestone unit of the hatchback was rolled out from the Indian automaker's manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat.

Though not a runaway success, the Tata Tiago slowly and consistently gained the market share in the hatchback segment and the model itself is currently one of the best selling hatchbacks in the country and a consistent seller for Tata Motors in India.

Six years since its introduction, Tata Motors has updated the Tiago hatchback a few times, however, the basic silhouette remains the same.

In addition to that, the Tata Tiago is currently one of the safest hatchbacks in the country with a 4-Star rating from Global-NCAP for adult occupant protection.

Speaking about Tata Tiago, Tata Motors recently launched the CNG version of the Tiago hatchback in order to attract more potential customers and thanks to the rising fuel prices, the launch of the Tata Tiago i-CNG hatchback could not be timed any better.

Also, Tata Motors has high expectation for the Tata Tiago i-CNG hatchbacks in the country as the demand for CNG cars are on the rise and with the launch of the CNG variant of the Tata Tiago the running costs of the hatchback will become even more affordable.

Apart from that, CNG cars produce far fewer pollutants and with the ever-tightening emission regulations in metro cities, opting for the CNG variants of cars makes even more sense as and are highly unlikely to be banned anytime soon.

In terms of features, the Tata Tiago comes equipped with features such as Projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a rear wash wiper with defogger, a 7-inch Harman infotainment system with 8-speakers, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and much more.

Apart from that, the Tata Tiago also comes equipped with safety features such as ABS, EBD, dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, cornering stability control, speed-sensitive auto door lock and many more.

The Tata Tiago uses a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine and this naturally-aspirated unit produces 84.82bhp and 113Nm of torque. On the other hand, the CNG variant of the model produces slightly lower power and torque outputs at 73bhp and 95Nm of torque.

On the other hand, gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. However, the CNG variant of the hatchback comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
