Tata Tiago EV Bookings To Commence From October 10
Tata Motors recently launched the much-awaited Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback in India and the country's leading electric passenger car manufacturer will open bookings for the electric hatchback on October 10, 12 pm. Interested customers can pre-book the Tata Tiago EV at any nearby Tata dealership and online via the company's official website. Moreover, the booking amount for the Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback is capped at Rs 21,000.
Tata very well knows that the Tata Tiago EV will appeal well to urbanites and the automaker has decided to put the model on display across leading malls in all major cities in the country to attract more potential buyers. Also, the test drives for the Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback have been said to commence from late December 2022 onwards, and the deliveries almost a month after that.
Tata Motors has also added that the model equipped with the larger 24kWh battery pack will be prioritized for production and the delivery date will rely on factors such as booked variant, colour, and booking date.
Diving into details, the newly launched Tata Tiago EV is available with two powertrain options - The base variant comes with a 60bhp electric motor capable of producing 105Nm of peak torque. Moreover, this powertrain comes equipped with the smaller 19.2kWh battery pack option.
On the other hand, the variant with the more powerful electric motor produces 74bhp of peak power and 114Nm of peak torque. Also, this variant comes with the larger 24kWh battery pack.
According to Tata Motors, the Tata Tiago EV can hit 60km/h from a standstill in just 5.7 seconds and can do 315km on a full charge. It is also worth mentioning that the base spec model can do 250km on a single charge.
Tata Motors claims that the Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback can charge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent of its battery capacity in just 57 minutes using a suitable DC fast charger. Apart from the standard 3.3kW AC charger, Tata Tiago EV 'XZ+' and 'XZ+ Tech LUX' customers can also specify a faster 7.2kW AC charger, and this charger takes just 3 hours and 36 minutes to charge to full capacity.
In terms of features, the newly launched Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback comes equipped with features such as a large 7-inch infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-Speaker Harman audio system, ZConnect telematics, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, and much more.
Apart from that, the newly launched Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback comes with two drive modes - City and Sport. In addition to that, the electric hatchback also features 4 regen modes for better battery regeneration.
Coming to the warranty, the Tata Tiago EV electric hatchback sports an 8year / 1,60,000km warranty for both the battery pack and the electric motor. Moreover, prices for the electric hatchback start from Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base 'XT' variant equipped with the basic powertrain. However, the top-spec 'XZ+ Tech LUX' trim with a 7.2kW AC charger costs Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

With the launch of the Tata Tiago EV, Tata Motors is aiming to attract a decent number of hatchback buyers in metro cities. Also, the success of the Tata Tiago EV will further strengthen the automaker's dominance in the EV sector in the country.
