Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo Unveiled: Comes With 4 Engine Options
Skoda has unveiled the much-awaited Fabia Monte Carlo and it is based on the fourth generation of Skoda Fabia, which is a size bigger than the previous generation model.

The new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo comes with a sportier exterior and sports black elements on the body. Changes on the Skoda Fabia Mote Carlo includes a new black front grille, front apron, wing mirrors and diffuser.

Other than these changes, the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo also gets new 16-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear and side windows, and an optional black roof.

On the inside of the new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo, Skoda has continued the use of black theme and uses a carbon-fibre finish on the lower side of the dashboard for a sportier feel.

In addition to these, Skoda has also used height-adjustable sports seats on the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo and used red accents on door handles, roof lining and roof pillars.

According to Skoda, the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo is available with four different engine options with power ranging from 79bhp to 148bhp. The latter is a four-cylinder turbocharged unit and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission. This powertrain enables the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo to catapult itself from a standstill to 100km/h in just 8 seconds and onto a topspeed of 225km/h.

Speaking about the fourth-generation Skoda Fabia, this model is yet to reach the Indian shores and it is considerably bigger than other premium hatchbacks sold in India at 4,107mm long.

This makes the new Skoda Fabia fall under the cars with a higher tax bracket in India and this makes it a matter of concern for the Czech automaker.

On the upside, the new Skoda Fabia's wheelbase is just 14mm less than the previous generation Skoda Octavia at 2564mm. This long-wheelbase setup allows for a spacious interior and almost sedan-like boot space at 380-litres.

The fourth-generation Skoda Fabia comes with a very sophisticated feeling interior with a large 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 9.2-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The new Skoda Fabia is also equipped with all the latest features such as wireless charging, heated windshield, heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, gesture control, voice assistant and many more.

In some countries, the new Skoda Fabia also comes with level 2 autonomous driving and includes features such as lane tracking, adaptive cruise control, hands-free parking and emergency braking assistance.

Thoughts About Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo
The fourth-generation Skoda Fabia is one of the best hatchbacks in the world and the Monte Carlo variant of the hatchback is a sportier and more desirable avatar of the Fabia. Let us hope that Skoda launches the Fabia Monte Carlo in India at least as a limited edition.
