Czech car manufacturer Skoda has revealed the Enyaq iV vRS. The all-new Skoda Enyaq iV vRS features the same setup as the coupe version of the SUV.
Skoda Enyaq iV vRS Specs, Battery Pack, Range & Charging Time
Like its coupe sibling, the all-new Skoda Enyaq iV vRS sports a dual-motor setup with one motor on each axle which also gives the go-faster SUV all-wheel drive as standard.
The dual-motor system on the Enyaq iV vRS produces 295bhp and 460Nm of peak torque which pushes the electric SUV from 0-100km/h in just 6.5 seconds and onward to a top speed of 180km/h.
The Enyaq iV vRS also features an 82kWh battery pack which along with its drag coefficient of 0.265 gives the electric SUV a maximum range of over 500km on the WLTP cycle.
Skoda claims that the battery pack of the Enyak iV vRS will charge from 10 to 80 per cent in just 36 minutes when connected to a fast 135kW DC charger. The Enyaq iV vRS also supports up to 11kW AC charging.
Skoda's new Enyaq iV vRS also features a new Plug & Charge function which allows owners to go to any charging station features on the Powerpass app and start charging by simply connecting the power cable to the charging socket. The feature helps the app identify the car and bill the charging session automatically.
The Skoda Enyaq iV VRS is built on the VW group's MEB platform for EVs and measures the SUV 4,653 millimetres long, 1,879 millimetres wide and 1,605 millimetres high with a wheelbase of 2,768 millimetres. The Enyaq iV VRS also sports a 585-litre boot which is 15 litres larger than the one found on its coupe sibling.
The Enyaq iV vRS features sports suspension as standard which lowers the electric SUV's body by 15mm at the front axle and 10mm at the rear axle. The sporty Enyaq iV vRS rides on 20-inch 'Taurus' wheels as standard but owners can opt for the 21-inch Vision wheels.
In terms of design, the Enyak iV vRS features quite a few bits finished in gloss black. THese bits include the surround for the grille, which is illuminated by 131 LEDs along with the door mirrors, rear diffuser insert and air curtain intakes. The standard 20-inch wheels are painted black while the optional 21-inch units are finished in anthracite.
Thoughts About The Skoda Enyaq iV VRS
The Skoda Enyaq iV vRS adds another go-faster option to the Enyaq EV lineup. With 295bhp on tap and a range of 500km, the Enyaq iV vRS promises to be a good blend of EV performance and range for someone looking to lug the family around.
