For the 2022 model year, the Kiger has been updated with quite a few additions to the equipment list. All variants of the 2022 model Year Renault Kiger are offered with a PM2.5 Advanced Atmospheric Filter as standard.
Other features include an updated interior with a new Red Fade dashboard accent. Also seen are quilted embossed upholstery with red stitching which gives the interior a more sporty look. Other new options include a wireless phone charger and cruise control.
The new Renault Kiger sports a new dual tone colour option - Mustard with Mystery Black along with a new skid plate up at the front. The sides are dominated by the new 16-inch alloy wheels (which sport red wheelcaps) and the doors sport turbo decals (in cars with the turbocharged engine option) while at the rear, the tailgate features a new chrome insert.
The 2022 Renault Kiger retains its two three-cylinder 1.0-litre engines (one naturally aspirated and the other turbocharged). The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine in the 2022 Renault Kiger produces 71bhp at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm. The engine is offered with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. The naturally aspirated Kiger offers a mileage between 19.03 to 19.17km/l.
The Renault Kiger also features a turbocharged version of the 1.0-litre engine. The turbocharged engine produces 99bhp at 5,000rpm and 160Nm of peak torque at 2,800rpm. The engine is offered with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearboxes. The turbocharged Kiger returns a mileage of 20.53km/l.
For the 2022 model year, Renault is offering the RXT (O) variant with the turbocharged 1.0-litre engine in both manual and CVT transmission options. The RXT (O) variant was introduced last year as part of Renault's 10th-year anniversary celebrations.
Talking about the new 2022 Kiger, Renault stated "An outcome of a collaboration between the design teams in France and India, Renault Kiger continues to garner great response from the customers. It is the third global car to be launched in India first, before it is taken globally. Renault Kiger brings latest tech features to the CMFA+ platform that offers class leading features like Multi-Sense Driving Modes, great roominess, cabin storage and cargo space along with the right balance of performance and efficiency."
