2022 Paris Motor Show - Renault 4Ever Trophy Concept Unveiled - Previews Compact Electric SUV

The Renault 4Ever Trophy concept has quite a few design cues that hearken back to the original 4L or Quatrelle as the French used to call it. The Trophy in the name honours the off-road-prepped versions of the 4L that competed in the Renault 4 Trophy rally. The humanitarian event, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year saw these off-road 4L race to Morroco to deliver school equipment.

The new 4Ever Trophy sports quite a few design cues that hearken back to the original 4L including the prominent bonnet, bumper, and angled rear section along with the funky trapezoidal rear quarterlight windows, the raked rear windscreen and the LED taillights.

Speaking about the design of the new Renault 4Ever Trophy, Gilles Vidal, VP, Renault Brand, Design said, "To bring 4EVER Trophy into the modern era, we have infused its streamlined shape with technological sophistication. All these ingredients have been carefully crafted so that the design resonates with those who are familiar with the 4L and its illustrious history, and with younger generations."

The Renault 4Ever Trophy is based on the carmaker's CMF-BEV platform and measures 4,160mm long, 1,950mm wide and 1,900mm tall. The wheelbase of the 4Ever Trophy is 2,570mm and the concept vehicle rides on 19-inch wheels shod with 255/55R19 tyres. Major details about the powertrain are not available and Renault has only stated that the concept features a single electric motor.

Speaking at the unveiling of the new Renault 4Ever Trophy at the Paris Motor Show, Luca de Meo, Chief Executive Officer of RENAULT S.A said, "The 4L is a legend. And legends never die! Today, it is this universal dimension of the 4L, a car that everyone can love, that we want to find through a modern and electric reinterpretation of the Renault 4."
