German sports car manufacturer Porsche has revealed the 911 Carrera T. The new Porsche 911 Carrera T features a 7-speed manual gearbox and has gone on a diet.

Porsche 911 Carrera T Specs
The Porsche 911 Carrera T is powered by 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that revs to 7,500rpm. The twin-turbocharged engine produces 380bhp at 6,500rpm and 450Nm of peak torque between 1,950 and 5,000rpm.

The twin-turbocharged flat six engine is paired with a 7-speed manual gearbox as standard. This transmission sends power to the rear wheels which will keep purists very happy indeed. Also seen is Porsche's torque vectoring system and a mechanical locking rear differential that help the cornering abilities of the 992-gen Carrera T.

Porsche has put the new Carrera T on a diet. The new 992 Porsche Carrera T is 35 kilogrammes lighter than the standard Carrera model at just 1,470kg. These weight savings come in the form of the staggered 20 and 21-inch wheels that are specific for the Carrera T along with reduced insulation, rear seat delete, lightweight battery pack, and the lighter glass.

The drop in weight however hasn't helped with the sprint times with the new 992 Carrera T accelerating from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds (0.3 seconds slower than the bog standard 8-speed auto Carrera). The Carrera T has a top speed of 291km/h. To ensure that everyone else knows just what is passing them by on the Autobahn, the Carrera T is fitted with Porsche's sports exhaust system.

As standard, the new Porsche 911 Carrera T comes fitted with the Sport Chrono package as is Porsche PASM sports suspension setup with variable active damping that drops the ride height by 10mm. The staggered 20 and 21-inch wheel setup comes fitted with 245/35 ZR 20 (front) and 305/30 ZR 21 (rear) tyres.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T features quite a few unique features including the logos on the doors that spell out the new model's name. These logos along with the top and bottom trim on the exterior mirrors, and the trim strips on the rear lid grille are all finished in Agate Grey. The large oval tailpipes of the sports exhaust system are finished in high-gloss black.

The interiors of the new Carrera T feature a GT Sports steering wheel, optional contrasting seat belts, stitching and headrest logos along with floor mats with the logo and stitching offered in either Slate Grey or Lizard Green.

Also on offer are 18-way electrically adjustable seats as well as even lighter and sportier full bucket seats. The interiors can be specified with the extended leather package which adds leather to the upper parts of the dashboard and door panel trim along with the armrests for the door panels and centre console.

The new 911 Carrera T is available in the four solid colours Black, White, Guards Red and Racing Yellow along with four metallic paint finishes in the form of Deep Black, Gentian Blue, Ice Grey and GT Silver. Special colours on offer include are Chalk, Ruby Star Neo, Carmine Red, Shark Blue and Python Green. Carrera T owners can also make use of Porsche's Paint to Sample programme, which offers paintwork in over 110 available colour tones.
