Polestar 3 Design & Features
The Polestar 3 features a unique design with a slim aero bridge at the front funnelling air over the bonnet to help the SUV's aero profile. Flanking the aero bridge on either side are the T-Shaped headlamps. There are connected black panels on either side of the front bumper that host the fog lamps. Also seen is what appears to be a large central air intake on the lower section of the bumper.
The sides of the Polestar 3 include design highlights like a gently curving roof, flush door handles, frameless windows and snazzy wheels.
At the rear, the roof melds into an integrated spoiler element. Other highlights include the sleek lightbar style taillights and the 'aero blades' on either edge of the rear bumper.
Step inside the new Polestar 3 and you'll be greeted by two displays.
The 9-inch driver's display sits behind the steering wheel and looks quite sleek while the large 14.5-inch touchscreen is in portrait orientation and is powered by Google's Android Automotive OS. The Polestar 3 will get OTA updates which allow for continuous software improvement and the introduction of new features without the need to visit a service centre.
Other features on the Polestar 3 include a panoramic glass roof, a 25-speaker audio system from Bowers & Wilkins with 3D surround sound and Dolby Atmos capability, soft-closing doors, a head-up display, a 360-degree parking camera and a vast suite of driver assistance features including Pilot Assist. The optional "Pilot Pack with LiDAR" will be made available to order in the second quarter of 2023.
Thoughts About The Polestar 3
The Polestar 3 is Volvo's answer to the BMW iX and the Audi e-tron and with its range of up to 610km on the WLTP cycle, the Swedish carmaker seems quite ready to take the fight to its German rivals.
