Ola Electric Car Interior Teased For The First Time - Motorcycles Coming Next Year
Bangalore-based electric vehicle manufacturer Ola Electric has teased the interior of its upcoming electric car at the launch event for the S1 Air. Ola Electric also revealed its plans to enter the world of motorcycles.
Bangalore-based electric vehicle manufacturer Ola Electric has teased the interior of its upcoming electric car. Ola Electric also revealed its plans to enter the world of motorcycles.
Ola Electric's teaser for its heavily hyped electric car arrived at the end of the launch event for the new S1 Air scooter when it once again aped another tech giant with a final tease at the end of the event.
The latest teaser showed off what Ola has revealed to the world before in the form of the car's headlights and full-width DRL. But unlike previous teasers for the Ola Electric car, the newest video finally showed us a glimpse into the interior of the EV.
The teaser showed off the silhouette of the electric car's dashboard with the display for the infotainment system in the centre and another screen acting as the instrument cluster sitting behind the steering wheel.
The steering wheel for the Ola Electric car follows the electric vehicle manufacturer's theme for the car which is expected to be positioned as a sporty offering when it arrives sometime in 2024. The squared-off steering wheel would look at home in a sports car and features quite a number of what appear to be capacitive touch buttons on each side which we expect to be controllers for the displays and other functions the electric car is expected to deliver when it hits the roads.
Ola Electric has revealed other details about its upcoming electric sports car that will be built at its Futurefactory near Bangalore. Ola claims that the electric four-door sports car will sprint from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds and will have a range of 500 kilometres on a single charge. The Ola electric four-door sports car will also feature a full glass roof to ensure everyone inside enjoys the exteriors as much as possible.
Ola Electric also announced that the firm is planning to enter the world of electric motorcycles. Ola Electric's CEO Bhavish Aggarwal stated that the firm would announce its electric motorcycle for the Indian market during Holi celebrations in 2023. Ola plans to cater to multiple segments of motorcycles for the Indian market. The company claims that the electric motorcycles currently on sale in India are not up to the mark. Ola states that it will raise the bar in the electric motorcycle space.
Ola Electric also announced its plans to go into international markets starting with the S1 scooter lineup in Nepal at the end of the year. Ola plans to bring its electric scooters to Latin America and Europe in 2023.
Thoughts About Ola's Future Plans
Ola Electric's plans for the future could see the Bangalore-based EV firm dominate the automotive market if it can actually live up to its promises. If it can actually do that is something only the future will let us know.
