The Number Of Maruti Suzuki Sales Outlets In India Will Shock You
Maruti Suzuki is by far the largest passenger car maker in India with a nearly 42 per cent market share.
Given the dominating market share of the Indo-Japanese automaker, it is no wonder why we see so many Maruti Suzuki cars on the road today.
That being said, we know that Maruti Suzuki has multiple state-of-the-art manufacturing plants across the country to meet the demand for its passenger cars in India. On top of that, people would often joke about the existence of a Maruti Suzuki outlet or service centre even in the remotest parts of India.
However, there is a certain amount of truth to this joke as Maruti Suzuki recently inaugurated its 3,500th sales outlet in India. Diving into details, the latest retail outlet is the NEXA showroom that was inaugurated today in Hyderabad.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki is present in more than 2,250 cities in India, and the company has opened 170 new outlets between April and October during the current fiscal year and a total of 237 sales outlets in the 2021-2022 fiscal year to meet the increased demand for its passenger cars in the country.
"I congratulate the teams at Maruti Suzuki and our dealer partners for their efforts to strengthen our network across the country. This milestone coincides with the landmark of commemorating 40 years of Suzuki's partnership with the people of India. Expanding our reach to 3,500 sales outlets reflects the company's continued commitment to reaching out with the best quality products to our customers. Our multi-channel sales network helps us address demand across segments and strengthen the trust customers have in our brand. Our largest product portfolio including Strong Hybrid and the widest network of Sales and Service gives us an extremely strong base to connect with our customers." said, Mr Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki today further expanded its CNG product lineup by launching the CNG variant of the Alto K10 hatchback in India. Moreover, the prices for the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 S-CNG starts at Rs 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Headline figures of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 S-CNG include 56bhp of peak power at 5,300rpm and 82.1Nm of peak torque at 3,400 rpm from its 1.0-litre K10C series engine while running on CNG fuel. Also, the model is rated to deliver a fuel efficiency figure of 33.85 kilometres per kilogram of CNG.
Thoughts About Maruti Suzuki Opening Its 3,500th Sales Outlet
With more than 40 per cent market share, Maruti Suzuki is undoubtedly the biggest car manufacturer in India. Moreover, the 3,500th sales outlet of Maruti Suzuki can also be looked at as an indicator of the growing passenger car segment in India.
