New Mahindra XUV300 Spied Testing - More Power & Features
Though Mahindra has updated the XUV300 SUV, the update is a mild one and barely noticeable. However, it seems that Mahindra is now gearing up to launch a properly updated iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV.

While the Mahindra XUV300 still looks fresh, the sub-4m SUV deserves a facelift to make it a bit more contemporary. Moreover, since the model was launched way back in 2019, a few of the design elements do feel old now.

Also, with ever-tightening competition in the sub-4m segment in the country, it is essential for Mahindra to roll out an updated iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV to keep up with the competition.

Earlier, Mahindra had silently updated the top-end W8 variant of the 2022 iteration of the Mahindra XUV300. However, this update was very silent, as there wasn't anything exciting. In fact, it was the opposite of exciting as Mahindra had reduced the size of its alloy wheels offered with the top-end W8 and W8(O) variants of the Mahindra XUV300. With this update, the top-end W8 variant of the 2022 iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 now comes equipped with smaller 16-inch alloy wheels instead of the 17-inch alloy wheels.

Moreover, the width of the tyres has been also reduced from 215-section to 205-section as part of the update. While this change may positively impact the fuel economy, it will negatively affect the grip levels of the SUV.
Speaking about the latest spied iteration, we expect minimal yet significant changes on the upcoming model of the XUV300 SUV. This includes Mahindra's new Twin Peaks logo, redesigned front section, new alloy wheels, added feature list, and a more powerful powertrain.

In terms of changes at the front, we expect a completely reprofiled front bumper with larger air intakes, a new front grille, and new fog lamp housing. It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming updated iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 won't be featuring a drastic visual update.
Moreover, given the new Mahindra Scorpio Classic sporting a 9-inch infotainment unit, we do expect this unit to be featured in the top-end variant of the upcoming updated iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV.

However, the biggest update will be in terms of its powertrain as the updated iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV will sport a more powerful 1.2-litre turbocharged engine. This new 'T-GDI' petrol engine is expected to push out 130bhp of power and 230Nm of torque.

In comparison, the outgoing iteration produces 109bhp of peak power and 200Nm of peak torque from its 1.2-litre turbocharged engine. However, the diesel powertrain is likely to remain same with the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel unit producing a healthy 115bhp of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque. Moreover, both these engines can be specified with 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

At present, the Mahindra XUV300 is one of the safest sub-4m SUVs you can buy in India with a 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection from Global-NCAP and sports safety tech such as 7-airbags, corner braking control, ABS, EBD, Traction Control, and front and rear parking sensors.

Thoughts About Upcoming Updated Iteration Of Mahindra XUV300
Mahindra XUV300 deserves a facelift as the compact SUV was launched way back in 2019. However, the design update seems minimal, but the powertrain seems to have been updated thoroughly.
