The MG Astor is one of the most feature-loaded SUVs you can currently buy in India. In addition to that, the MG Astor SUV is the only model in its segment to sport level-2 autonomous driving functionality.
While the MG Astor sales figure stood at just 980 units in September 2022, which is way less than many of its competitors. However, despite the relatively low sales figures, many customers are yet to get deliveries of the MG Astor as the production of the SUV is severely hampered by the chip shortage.
Now, under the Worth Waiting For 3.0 scheme, MG Astor CVT and MG Astor AT customers who booked the SUV before May 31 will get additional benefits above the existing Worth Waiting For 2.0 scheme.

Earlier, MG Motor had introduced new variants of the Astor SUV with an 'EX' suffix to the existing variant lineup. These new variants include Style EX, Super EX, Smart EX, and Sharp EX.
Diving deep into details of these new variants, MG Motor has cut features such as electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (TC), blind spot detection, hill hold/descent control, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assistance on the newly introduced 'EX' variants to overcome the chip shortage and reduce the overall price tag.

Thoughts About MG Astor SUV
The recent semiconductor shortage has hampered the production of the MG Astor SUV and with the increased waiting period for the model, it seems pretty decent for MG Motor to compensate their customers with a few freebies for their patience in the brand.
