German carmaker Mercedes has revealed the C63 S E Performance F1 Edition. The Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition brings with it a few custom design features plus the new F1-inspired hybrid four-pot powerplant and will be offered for the first year of the performance car's life cycle.

The biggest cosmetic changes for the C63 S E Performance F1 Edition comes in the form of the 'Alpine Grey' paint scheme. The new performance model of the C-Class also sports a colour gradient on its lower section which moves from grey to black and also sports the AMG logo.

The all-new Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition rides on 20-inch forged wheels painted matt black. The wheels feature red pinstriping on the flanges which follows the colour scheme of the wheels of the Official FIA F1 Medical Car supplied by Mercedes-AMG. The red pinstriping can also be found on the front, rear and side aprons of the F1 Edition of the C63 S.

The new F1 edition C63 S E Performance also features the AMG Aerodynamics Package which adds elements like a larger front splitter, boot lid spoiler (sedan only), redesigned side elements and an additional diffuser board.

The F1 Edition of the new C 63S also sports the AMG Night Package treatment which finishes the front splitter, the trim elements in the front wings, the outside mirror housings, the beltline trim strip and the window surrounds in high-gloss black. The louvres for the radiator grille, the rear apron trim strip, the twin tailpipe trims of the AMG exhaust system and the badging on the boot are all finished in black chrome.

The insides of the Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition have also been tweaked with the AMG Performance seats sporting black Nappa leather with red topstitching and embossed AMG emblems for the headrests of the front seats. The dash features a rather vibrant red carbon finish and the seatbelts are also finished in the same colour.

Mechanically, the F1 Edition is the same as every other Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance that will soon start hitting showrooms across the world. The 2.0-litre electrically-turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine and hybrid setup puts out an astonishing 671bhp and 1,020Nm of peak torque which is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox and an additional 2-speed gearbox for the electric motor alone.

The Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds and onwards to a top speed that can be raised to as high as 280km/h.

Thoughts About The Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition
The Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition will be a time-limited version of the controversial new AMG version of the C-Class and brings a few extra cosmetic and aerodynamic goodies.
