"The last mile delivery and logistics segment has seen a need for premium and high-quality electric vehicles to enable reliable and cost-effective cargo transportation. We are excited to launch our all-new Zor Grand to effectively address these demands. It offers a power-packed performance and enables us and our stakeholders to meet their sustainability goals." said Mr Suman Mishra, CEO of Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited (MEML).

As a result of this strong powertrain, the newly launched Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler has a 'Best-in-industry' gradeability of 11.5 degrees - This makes the steep climbs with loads a bit easier compared to its competitors.
Also, thanks to the Lithium-Ion technology, the Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler can travel up to 100km on a single charge. However, the certified range claims that the Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler can travel more than 153km on a full charge.
In terms of charging, Mahindra claims that the Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler can charge to 100 per cent of its capacity in under 4 hours. Apart from that, the top speed of the Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler is rated at 50km/h.
It is worth mentioning that, the Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler does not have a gearbox like conventional 3-wheelers, instead, it comes with three modes - Forward, Neutral, and Reverse. This ensures a fatigue-free driving experience for the user as well.
The Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler is available in 3 variants - a Delivery Van body with a 140 Cu.ft box and 170 Cu.ft box, and a pickup-style body.
The Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler comes with features such as a telematics unit, digital instrument cluster, GPS, offboard charger, cabin light, mobile holder, lockable glove box, reverse buzzer, spare wheel provision, hazard indicator and a few more.
Mahindra is very confident about the quality of Mahindra Zor Grand and offers a 3-year / 80,000km warranty on the electric 3-wheeler. In addition to that, the Lithium-Ion battery pack comes with a 5-year warranty.
Mahindra claims that the Zor Grand can help the user save up to Rs 6 lakh and Rs 3 lakh in ownership costs in just 5 years compared to a diesel 3-wheeler and CNG 3-wheeler, respectively.
Thoughts About Mahindra Zor Grand Electric 3-Wheeler
The Mahindra Zor Grand electric 3-wheeler is a decent alternative to conventional 3-wheelers as the running cost of these models are significantly lower than conventional models. As such, despite the higher initial cost, customers can easily benefit in the long term. In addition to that, being an EV, the Zor Grand will have far less noise and vibrations compared to conventional three-wheelers.
