Lotus Eletre Electric SUV Specs Revealed - Up To 905bhp & 600km Range

The Lotus Eletre will be offered in three guises when deliveries start in the first half of 2023 - Eletre, Eletre S and Eletre R. The Eletre is based on the all-new 800V Electric Platform Architecture and all three variants of the electric British SUV will use the same 112kWh battery pack and be offered with dual motors as standard.

The base Eletre and the S models both use the same 603bhp and 710Nm dual motor setup that is paired with a single-speed automatic gearbox. The Eletre and Eletre S models sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 258km/h. The Eletre and Eletre S models deliver a WLTP range of 600km on a single charge.

The Eletre R pairs a two-speed gearbox with its 905bhp and 985Nm dual motor setup that allows it to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 2.95 seconds. The top speed of the Eletre R is 265km/h and the SUV delivers a WLTP range of 490km on a single charge.

The 800V Electric Platform Architecture setup of the Lotus Eletre allows it to reach charging speeds of up to 350kW. When connected to a DC fast charger that supports those bonkers speeds the Eletre SUV can recharge its 112kWh battery pack from 10 to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes.

The Lotus Eletre is 5,103mm long, 2,135mm wide and 1,636mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,019mm. The Eletre offers a ground clearance of up to 194mm and the boot at the rear can hold up to 688 litres of luggage.

In terms of design, the low-set roof gives the Eletre a rather fast-looking profile. At the front, underneath the sleek LED DRLs sit the hidden headlights in the blacked-off section of the front bumper. The active grille features triangular elements that open and close depending on the cooling requirements of the electric SUV.

The sides of the Eletre sports cameras instead rear-view mirrors along with flush door handles and wheels that range in size between 20 and 23-inches in size. The rear section of the Eletre is dominated by the full-width lightbar style taillight and the vents that are inspired by the ones on the Evija hypercar. Also seen are winglets that help channel the air down the rear of the SUV.

The cabin of the Eletre is offered in six unique styles with premium high-grade materials and detail choices. All Eletres will feature a digital driver's display and a large portrait-oriented infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The OLED infotainment screen is also hooked up to a 15-speaker KEF Premium Audio system with Dolby Atmos and an output of 1,380 watts. Customers can upgrade the setup to a 2,160-watt, 23-speaker KEF Reference Audio system.

The Eletre is offered in either four or five-seat configurations depending on the customer's choice though the five-seater option is the standard offering.

The Lotus Eletre specs especially those of the R model show the British firm's willingness to take on the likes of the Tesla Model X, though its price tag of £120,000 and features list make it a rather premium offering compared to its American rival.
