Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has teased the arrival of the fifth-generation RX in India ahead of its debut in the country at Auto Expo 2023.
The 5th generation of the Lexus RX was revealed to the world in June this year. The 2023 Auto Expo debut of the Lexus RX in India will also mark the first time that Lexus has attended the nation's largest car show.

The fifth-gen Lexus RX brings with it a host of changes that will all be on show at Auto Expo 2023. The biggest of these changes is the addition of connected car tech, a first for Lexus.
The visual changes between the 4th and 5th generations of the RX SUV can be seen at the front where the older car's spindle grille has been tweaked and comes flanked by sleek LED headlamps on each side. This change to the front grille is similar to what was seen on the Lexus RZ EV which the Japanese firm calls the 'Spindle Body' style.
The new 5th-gen RX has also switched to Toyota's GA-K platform which also underpins the ES sedan and the NX SUV. The switch to the new platform has seen the RX shed 90 kilos.
While the overall length has remained the same, the new RX has a 6mm longer wheelbase and its roofline has dropped by 10mm. The new RX also sports wider front and rear tracks which have grown by 15mm and 40mm respectively.
Other changes on the new Lexus can be seen on the inside where it now sports a large 14-inch touchscreen infotainment display with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (wired). Also present is vegan synthetic leather upholstery along with wireless phone charging.
Globally, the Lexus RX SUV is offered in 4 guises, the 350, 350h, 450h+ and 500h F-Sport Performance. India is expected to get the 350h hybrid model which draws power from a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine (188bhp, 243Nm) and a single electric motor which together develop a combined output of 245bhp and 316Nm of peak torque.
