SEMA 2022: Lexus IS 600+ Is A Track-Spec Brute With Over 600hp

The Lexus IS 600+ by DSport started life as an IS 350 F Sport but has evolved into a track monster that runs on E85 and takes the F Sport model to a whole new level.

Powering the Lexus IS 600+ is the firm's V35A V6 engine which is fed by a pair of billet compressor wheel turbochargers. The engine is lifted from the Lexus LS 500 and its CT28 turbos feature increased boost levels.

The engine also features revised fuel and ignition curves so that it now produces over 600 horsepower (hence the name) when running on E85 fuel. The engine is paired with a Samsonas sequential six-speed gearbox with paddle shifters. To ensure that the rest of the world hears the engine, Lexus has fitted the concept car with GTHAUS motorsports stainless steel exhaust system.

Showing off its track-focused ethos are the KW double adjustable coil overs and the custom 4-point roll cage. The Lexus IS 600+ by DSport rides on 19-inch Volk racing wheels that are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres - 275/30 (front) and 305/30 (rear).

To ensure that the 600-plus horsepower track-spec weapon comes to a halt quickly, Lexus has upgraded the IS 600+ with the Carbon Ceramic brake package from the RC F sports car.

Also helping out the brakes is the weight loss program the IS 600+ has undergone. The rear seats have been chucked out of the sedan while the fronts have been replaced by units from Sparco. The dash is also totally changed and features a MoTec Motorsports colour dash display.

Other weight-saving changes on the IS 600+ include a carbon fibre bonnet and boot lid, the latter of which plays host to a massive spoiler. The Lexus IS 600+ also wears a widebody kit from Artisan Spirits which along with the 19-inch Volk wheels give this bonkers IS a very aggressive stance. The body of the race-spec IS 600+ features Axalta multi-stage custom paint in Lexus OEM hues.
