A new online leak claims that the successor of the Ferrari LaFerrari hybrid hypercaris set to be revealed in 2024. The leaked document claims that the LaFerrari successor will be limited to 828 units which includes 30 track only XX specials.
The leaked document, which appeared on an autopareri forum page claims that the next-gen Ferrari hypercar codenamed F250 (the LaFerrari was F150) will launch in May 2024 with the coupe being the first to arrive in October of the same year. The coupe version of the LaFerrari successor will be limited just 599 units claims the leaked document.
Two years after the arrival of the coupe in July 2026, a track focused 'XX' version of the LaFerrari successor will be offered to customers and will be limited to just 30 units overall.
Go forward another year and in October 2027, a 'Spider' (convertible) version of the F250 will be made available to customers. The Ferrari F250 Spider will be limited to just 199 units bringing the total number of cars with the F250 codename to a total of 828 worldwide.
The document also claims that Ferrari has already started testing the F250 with mules hitting the road back in July. The leaked document claims that the first prototypes of the new F250 hypercar from Ferrari will start in February 2023. 11 months later in January 2024, pre-production prototypes of the upcoming Ferrari LaFerrari successor will start hitting the streets with more set to follow in May of the same year before the hypercar arrives in October.
Not much is known about the upcoming hypercar with even the F20 moniker something we would take only with a pinch of salt. The next-gen Ferrari hypercar is expected to be an electrified model like its LaFerrari predecessor.
It is also not known right now what internal combustion engine will provide the dino burning part of the LaFerrari successor. There is also no news regarding how many cylinders the new LaFerrari successor has filling the banks of the powerplants. While the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine seems like a no-brainer, the chances of the new hypercar borrowing the SF90's V8 setup also seems quite possible.
Thoughts About The Ferrar LaFerrari Successor
The Ferrari LaFerrari was a once-in-a-generation car, which is something it had in common with its ancestors in the lineup including the likes of the Enzo and the F40. The next-gen Ferrari hypercar, while still a while away promises to follow in its ancestor's footsteps, which should be good news to the one who can actually afford it.
