British SUV manufacturer Land Rover has revealed the Defender 75th Limited Edition. Land Rover turns 75 next year and the British marque has kicked off its birthday celebrations a bit early with the Defender 75th Limited Edition.

The new Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition is based on the HSE trim level and is offered in both 90 and 110 guises. Prices for the Defender 75th Limited Edition are currently only known for the UK with prices for the 90 variant starting at £85,995 (Rs 78.85 lakhs) while the 110 starts at £89,995 (Rs 82.50 lakhs).

Land Rover revealed its first SUV - the Series I - to the world at the 1948 Amsterdam Motor Show. The British marque has been the standard bearer of SUVs ever since and the new Defender 75th Limited Edition celebrates that heritage.

To help the new Defender 75th Limited Edition stand out from the regular HSE trim models, Land Rover has given the new SUV a rather unique paint scheme. Dubbed Grasmere Green, this unique shade of green is found both on the outside and inside of the Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition.

The Grasmere Green paint scheme can also be found on the 20-inch alloy wheels that come shod with off-road tyres. Both the front and rear bumpers are painted in Ceres Silver and the limited edition Defender also sports a unique 75 years graphic on the tailgate.

Step inside the new Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition and you'll find even more unique touches that separate it from the regular Defender HSE. The dash features a strip of Grasmere Green running across it with the word Defender embossed into it. The dash also sports a laser etched version of the unique 75 years graphic seen on the tailgate of the SUV.

The Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition gets a folding fabric top as standard with a sliding panoramic glass with roof rails also available as an option. Other standard kit on the new Limited Edition version of the Defender include air suspension, LED headlights, a 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Meridian sound system, Land Rover's off-roading Terrain Response system, heated seats and steering wheel, three-zone climate control, and wireless smartphone charger.

The new Land Rover Defender 75th Limited Edition is offered with two powertrain options. The D300 diesel engine offers 296bhp and is offered with both body styles. The P400e is only available with the large 110 varaint and offers owners 398bhp and 640Nm of peak torque. All models sport the 8-speed automaic gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive.
