Jacked-Up Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Is A Wild Goodbye To An Iconic Engine

Italian supercar firm Lamborghini has revealed the Huracan Sterrato lifted supercar. The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato also marks the final run for the Italian marque's 5.2-litre V10 engine.

The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato will be limited to just 1,499 units. Production of this jacked-up version of the baby Lambo supercar will start in February 2023.

The Huracan Sterrato is powered by Lamborghini's iconic 5.2-litre V10 engine which in its final guise produces 610bhp at 8,00rpm and 565Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato may be focused on going off-roading but this doesn't mean it is a slouch on the tarmac. 0-100km/h takes just 3.4 seconds while 200km/h from a standstill is achieved in 9.8 seconds. The top speed is limited to 260km/h and the braking performance is nothing to scoff at either with 100-0km/h taking just 39 metres.

Providing that braking power is a set of carbon ceramic brakes with fixed aluminium callipers - 6-piston at the front and 4-piston at the rear. The front brakes measure 380mm (front) and 356mm (rear) in diameter. The Sterrato rides on 19-inch wheels that are shod with custom Bridgestone Dueler AT002 dual-purpose tyres measuring 235-40 R19 at the front and 285/40 at the rear.

The new Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato offers up three driving modes for those sitting behind the wheel. While the two regular on-road modes of Strada (street) and Sport can be found on every Huracan model, the new Rally mode is exclusive to the Sterrato and helps it conduct its off-piste explorations.

The design of the Huracan Sterrato is where you can feast your eyes on its wild nature. The Sterrato sits 44mm higher above the ground than a Huracan Evo and this jacked-up presence is further enhanced by all the crazy bits Lamborghini has added to this unhinged supercar.

At the front, the Hurcan Sterrato sports a pair of extra LED lights on its nose along with a new front bumper. Other changes come in the form of riveted-on wheel arches that help show off the increased track width (30mm at the front and 34mm at the rear). The 19-inch wheels are made specifically for this off-roading Huracan model.

Other changes come in the form of a working roof snorkel (unlike the one on the STO) which helps feed air into the engine especially when the supercar is travelling over rough surfaces that kick up a lot of dust into the air. The other major change comes at the rear where the diffuser makes way for an aluminium scuff plate.
