Kia Motors Likely To Throw A Big Surprise At The Auto Expo 2023 – Kia Sorento, New Carnival & More

Kia Motors is likely to be one of the biggest attractions at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023 as the South Korean automaker will be planning to grab a lot of attention.

Moreover, we expect Kia Motors to showcase some new models such as the new Kia Carnival and Kia Sorento SUV along with the updated Kia Setos SUV, Kia EV6 GT electric crossover and other models.

Kia Sorento

Kia Sorento is one of the many global SUVs under Kia Motors and if the South Korean automaker plans to launch the model in India, we expect the Kia Sorento to take on the likes of large 7-seater SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Isuzu MU-X.

That being said, this segment is currently dominated by Toyota Fortuner. However, we expect the Kia Sorento SUV to hold its ground well with its large size and tech-laden interiors. Furthermore, we expect Kia to equip the India-spec Sorento SUV with its 2.2-litre diesel engine with 202bhp of peak power.

Kia Carnival (Next-Gen)

The new Kia Carnival is already on sale in many countries. As such, it is just a matter of time for the South Korean automaker to introduce the latest iteration of the Carnival MPV in India. Moreover, we expect the latest iteration of the Carnival MPV to do well in the Indian market with its more SUV-ish design language.

That being said, the new Kia Carnival is a very large MPV with a length of 5.1 metres. Furthermore, the MPV is likely to be available in both 3-row and 4-row seating options, which will be a boon for large Indian families as well. Likely powertrain options include a 2.2-litre, diesel engine with approximately 200bhp of peak power mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Kia Seltos Facelift

The Kia Seltos SUV is among one of the best-selling SUVs in the country and the model seems to be now due for an update. As such, Kia has also introduced the updated iteration of the Kia Seltos SUV in a few countries now and we expect the South Korean automaker to unveil the model at the Auto Expo 2023.

This newly updated iteration of the Kia Seltos SUV will not only feature an updated exterior and interior but the model is strongly rumoured to come with ADAS and other advanced features to make the model future-proof. Apart from that, we expect this model to soon make its way into production in India.

Thoughts About Kia Motors At The Auto Expo 2023

In a bid to attract customers and eventually improve sales, we can expect Kia Motors to announce the arrival of new models in India. In fact, we have high hopes on both Kia Sorento SUV and the new Kia Carnival MPV to eventually make their way into the country to boost sales and the premium image of the automaker in India.
