Kia India Dispatches 5 Lakh Vehicles: 4 Lakh Vehicles For The Domestic Market Alone
Kia India has announced that the company has dispatched more than 5 lakh vehicles. This number also includes exports to foreign countries and the export number for Kia vehicles from India stands at 1 lakh units.

Moreover, with these statistics, Kia has established itself as one of the fastest-growing automobile companies in the country.

According to Kia, the company has surpassed the 4 lakh unit sales milestone in the country and has exported over 1 lakh cars to over 91 countries around the world. Apart from that, Kia is the number 1 UV exporter in India with a market share of over 25 per cent in 2021.

At present, Kia has one manufacturing plant in the country and produces 4 models for the Indian market. The 4th model is the recently launched Kia Carens MPV and the company already has high hopes for the 7-seater vehicle.

Apart from that, in anticipation of more demand in future, the company is planning to increase the annual capacity of its manufacturing plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

In order to increase the production capacity at the company's production facility in Anantapur, Kia is planning to do 3 shifts in its manufacturing facility to reach the maximum production capacity of 3 lakh units per year.

Speaking about the most recent activities of the company, Kia has launched the Kia Carens MPV in India.
In India, the Kia Carens MPV is available in 5 trim levels -Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. In Addition to these trim levels, the Kia Carens MPV is also available in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.

Also, the Kia Carens is available in 7 different exterior colour options - Blue, White, Grey, Brown, Silver, Pearl White, and Black.

Like other Kia vehicles, the Kia Carens is also packed to the brim with all the latest goodies and comes with features such as the large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, 8-speaker BOSE sound system, full-digital driver's display, air purifier, Kia's UVO connected car tech, an electric sunroof, ambient lighting, ventilated seats at the front, a wireless charging pad, roof-mounted AC for 2nd and 3rd-row passengers, cooled cupholders, cooled glove box, and many more.

In terms of safety, the Kia Carens comes with safety features such as hill-hold, Highline TPMS, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX Mounts, 6-airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, ESP, BAS, and a few more.

Kia Carens is powered by three engine options. The base petrol engine is a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 113bhp and 144Nm of torque, the second engine option is the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. The last engine option is the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 138bhp and 242Nm of torque.

According to Kia, the company also already racked up more than 19,000 bookings before the launch of the Kia Carens in India.
